Dr Mutaz Abbashar Cardiologist contributed to healthcare system development in underserved regions by founding and commissioning Western Sudan’s first comprehensive cardiology program, including the region’s cardiac catheterization laboratory and high-acuity ICU. This program served more than five million people across Kordofan and Darfur, reducing the need for long-distance transfer for PCI and critical care.
